Snakecharm Kiesha'ra Vol 2 Amelia AtwaterRhodes Books

A sequel takes us further into the richly imagined world of these shape shifting kingdoms, this time from the male character's POV. It is a fun adventure and an easy (and quick!) read. A little predictable and definitely the sort of thing one would expect from Young Adult novels (how did this become a genre in and of itself?!), but sometimes that is what you want.

One thing I do like about this series is it is not a story that says Love Conquerors All (a theme in too many books, especially the paranormal romances that have sprouted up in Twilight's image). Both this book and the first one deal very much with the consequences of love (or lack of love).

Snakecharm Kiesha'ra Vol 2 Amelia AtwaterRhodes Books Reviews

I feel kinda ripped off. There was literally a sticker on it that said 50cents and I bought it for 17$. Not only that it was bent and kinda torn on the edges. Not happy but the story is good so I didn't return it.
This book was just as good as the second! I can't wait to read the next book and see where the story goes!
Its as good as all of the other books in this series. I read these when I was a teenager and couldn't help but pick them up again now that I've gotten older. I still enjoy it.
I was rather insecure about the reviews but I finished Snakecharm in a night and it's very good.

As a narrator, Zane's voice is warm and it drags you in, and through his eyes you get a new persepctive on the things you met in Hawksong.

I liked the plot, it held a few surprises.

And I advice to read carefully for the alot of hits and questions arrise for the third part in the series...

I concider it every bit as good as Hawksong, perhaps funier since the mood is lighter.
The second book in the Kiesha'ra series is slighty slower in pace as the first (Hawksong) but still a wonderful read. It is from Zane's POV apposed to Danica; though is isn't as fast paced, there are a lot of new characters and events that are very interesting. Such as Danica becoming pregnant amd the introduction of falcons. I reccomend this entire series for anyone who like books of the sci fi/ fantasy genre with lots of twists and turns, strong characters, and a spin on the average teen fiction book.
If you liked the first book then you are going to LOVE this one. This is actually my favorite book of the whole series. Instead of looking through the eyes of Danica the hawk shape shifter as you do in the first book, you get to see behind the eyes of Zane the cobra king. Its a lovely transition because Zane seems so mysterious and its a great way to see what he really feels and through the eyes of the cold blooded. You wont be disappointed in this
If you're like me, you were anxious to find out what happened with Zane and Danica after the events of "Hawksong." Once again, we are thrust into the world of the serpiente and the avians. Zane tells the story from his point of view, unlike the first book where Danica was the storyteller.

Amelia Atwater-Rhodes does not disappoint her readers. This book is just as amazing as her previous ones. I recommend it to anyone who enjoyed "Hawksong."

Continue the series with
Book 3 Falcondance The Kiesha'ra Volume Three (Kiesha'ra)
Book 4 Wolfcry The Kiesha'ra Volume Four
Book 5 Wyvernhail The Kiesha'ra Volume Five

Or if you'd like to read more of Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, I greatly recommend her vampire themed stories. Her first book was published when she was only 14, and I think I enjoyed this series even more than the Kiesha'ra ones. The nice thing about these is that they do not necessarily have to be read together or in order as most feature new characters, though they do take place in the same universe and often mention characters from previous books.

Book 1 In the Forests of the Night
Book 2 Demon in My View
Book 3 Shattered Mirror
Book 4 Midnight Predator (Den of Shadows)
Book 5 Persistence of Memory (Den of Shadows)
Book 6 Token of Darkness (Den of Shadows)
Book 7 All Just Glass
